My favorite so far is Lung Hin. The contemporary Chinese restaurant serves traditional and authentic Cantonese food and fresh seafood from the expert hands of its Hong Kong chefs. The sleek interiors and expansive lay-out blends in perfect symmetry with exclusive private rooms that are ideal for a range of intimate affairs. I’ve eaten here a number of times and is an easy suggestion for anyone asking for restaurant recommendations.

Cucina continues to innovate and give its guest a breathtaking dining experience. To further sharpen its exquisite menu, the team welcomes its new Chef De Cuisine, Giuseppe Rivoli.
Hailed from the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Italy, Chef Giuseppe boasts of an extensive culinary background, with his career spanning over a decade and with experience in London, Italy, Singapore, Indonesia, and other parts of Asia. Chef Giuseppe takes inspiration from his many travels and specializes in Italian and Asian Cuisines. He was recently part of Trattoria Italia Restaurant in Singapore as Executive Chef to its 11 outlets around Asia. Chef de Partie in Grill section at Nobu Restaurant London. One fun fact about Chef Guiseppe – if he could describe himself in a plate, it would be Arancini di Riso, the Italian crispy fried risotto balls, which I absolutely inhaled almost every day when I was in Italy.
Chef Giuseppe portrays Cucina’s cuisine in a contemporary and refined way. On weekdays, guests can succumb to new dishes such as Beet Cured Salmon with Crème Fraiche, Ossobucco ala Milanese with Soft Yellow Polenta, and Beef Cheek Couscous and Grilled Vegetable. Weekends becomes a special treat in offerings such as Italian Porchetta Stuffed with Sun Dry Tomato and Black Olive Pate, Baked Salted Fish with Chef Giuseppe’s Special Sauce, and Wild Mushroom Risotto.

The Beef Cheek Couscous and Grilled Vegetable was a succulent dish that you can just keep eating. I had thirds. The Ossobucco ala Milanese on the other hand is rich and had a myriad of flavors bouncing in the mouth. Just a few of the stirring specialties that Chef Guiseppe has on his sleeves. He also passionately talked about a pasta station that serves FRESH PASTA. I’m definitely visiting again when that fresh pasta maker reaches Cucina.

Cucina is Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s all-day dining restaurant and is open daily for lunch from 12:00 NN to 2:30 PM and dinner from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Buffet price starts at 1,500 net per person, children aged 6 and below get to eat for free while children aged 7 to 12 years old are charged half the price.
